When the homeowners wanted to update their basic center hal colonial, they turned to contractor Tony Savino and architect Dean Berman.  They wanted to expand on available living area by creating an open kitchen and family room suitable for entertaining their large extended family.

Tony and Dean were able to work within the existing foundation by building over the garage, and expanded square footage by creating two two-story bump outs in the front, and dornering the roof.  A flat roof addition to the rear houses the open kitchen and family room which, through French Doors, spils out onto a stone patio.

With these smart design choices, Tony and Dean were able to transform the home - with minimal impact on the landscape - while still imparting the uniform look the homeowner required.
